Founding-driver terms
Drivers who join in the pilot year get terms we will not open to general onboarding later. Better economics, sooner.
Eligibility
Every driver passes a background check and driving-record review.
Before anyone drives with migo, we run a background check and an MVR (motor vehicle record) review, per Texas TDLR requirements and Texas Occupations Code Chapter 2402. We re-check both criminal background and driving history annually, for as long as you drive with us. These are the state's baseline standards — migo may apply stricter criteria on top of them.
To drive with migo, a driver must meet every one of the following
- Is 18 years of age or older
- Holds a valid driver's license
- Has proof of vehicle registration and required auto financial responsibility (insurance)
- MVR (last 3 years) shows 3 or fewer moving violations
- MVR (last 3 years) shows no fleeing or eluding police
- MVR (last 3 years) shows no reckless driving
- MVR (last 3 years) shows no driving without a valid license
- MVR (last 3 years) shows no driving with an invalid license
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of DWI
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of use of a motor vehicle to commit a felony
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of a felony property-damage crime
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of fraud
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of theft
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of an act of violence
- Criminal history (last 7 years) is free of an act of terrorism
- Not listed on the national or Texas state sex-offender registry
